History of Leeds Dock<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Leeds Dock, located at LS10 1PZ, has a history dating back to 1843. It was originally used for transporting coal from the Rothwell and Wakefield coal mines via the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In recent years, Leeds Dock has undergone two name changes. It was formerly known as New Dock and Clarence Dock before being officially renamed Leeds Dock in 2013. Today, it is a comprehensive development project encompassing retail, office, and leisure spaces, as well as a residential area with many apartment units. Leeds Dock is known for its picturesque scenery, and many Leeds postcards feature it as the backdrop.

Water Taxi<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At Leeds Dock, besides enjoying the beautiful scenery along the river by walking, you can also take a Water Taxi. The Water Taxi has only two stops: Granary Wharf (Leeds Train Station) and Leeds Dock. There is a boat every 15 minutes, and the journey takes about 10 minutes. Each Water Taxi can carry 12 passengers, with seating both inside and outside, allowing everyone to enjoy the riverside views up close.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Water Taxi Operating Hours and Fees<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Water Taxi costs \u00a33 per person, and children aged five and under ride for free. The service operates from Monday to Sunday, from 10 AM to 6PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
